Bournemouth Mission helps many people with difficulties in their lives. We have active groups who help on a weekly basis those in prisons, help children and adults know the harmful effective of drugs, aid those people who suffer from physical problems, varying from backaches, to toothache, to headaches and more, and we also have a very active Learning Zone where children as well as adults can come and get help with their study difficulties. Here is a brief description of each of these groups.
Criminon
The mission’s Criminon writes to inmates encouraging them to start the Way to Happiness Course. This course is done by correspondence and the weekly lessons are promptly marked by our volunteer team. This course is a non religious moral code based on the works of L Ron Hubbard and really helps the inmates to regain their self respect and respect of others. Many success story’s have been received and they thank Criminon for their help.
Narconon
1000’s of anti-drug fliers and booklets have been distributed into the Bournemouth area. A doctor’s surgery saw these and called in to ask if they could buy the cocaine booklets. These leaflets had communicated so well to all ages, that they wanted more to help their patients with. In addition to this dozens of letters have been written to local schools to inform them of Narconon and the work they do to educate people of all ages about drugs.
